Class Instructions:
There will be no formal lectures in class. The lectures will be on-line and
class time
will be for discussions, questions, and answers. Attendance to class is not
required.
The course is divided into two terms. The first term covers genetics and the
second
term covers sequence alignments.
There will be no homework or assignments. There will only be a
Mid Term Test and
a Final Test. The tests are open book and open notes. You may take the tests at
home.
The test questions are taken directly from the lectures, so you'll need no
references
other than the lectures. Your course grade will be based on the two tests. The

Lectures are available at the link above. You may
read these lectures
at your own pace.
You may take the Mid Term Test at any time before October
21.
You may email me
your Mid Term Test answers or you may bring them to class.
